AeroConsulting is seeking applications of a well-qualified Cougar Aerospace Propulsion Maintenance Technician. This critical and full time position will be based at King Khalid Air Base (KKAB) near Khamis Mushait, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF).

  • Perform inspections on all aircraft (engine/blades/dynamic components) assigned on COUGAR.
  • Interprets installation and maintenance policies and procedures related to (engine/blades/dynamic component) repair.
  • Solves maintenance problems by studying drawings diagrams, blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  • Evaluating diagnosing malfunctions, using technical publications, and performs repair.
  • Determines extend of disassembly necessary to repair or replace (engine/blades/dynamic component) parts.
  • Inspect (engine/blades/dynamic components) using visual inspection methods. Analyzes inspection finding to determine extent of repair.
  • Repairs (engine/blades/dynamic components) by replacing parts and removing defects such as nicks, dents, scratches and burrs.
  • Prepares material deficiency reports.
  • Evaluates performance of assigned personnel.
  • Conducts and supervises on-the-job training programs.
  • Train personnel on the use of maintenance manuals and RSAF manuals.
  • Train RSAF personnel on all phases of training.
Start date ASAP for an expat local contract with no rotation, (only full time job).
5 working days, 8 working hours and 30 days annual vacation + 11 days holiday. 
Negotiable salary

Required skills
Knowledge of mechanical, hydro mechanical, electrical and pneudraulic principles applying to jet and turboprop engines and propellers, oil analysis principles, wear metal criteria and guidelines, concepts and application of RSAFM 66 series and supporting publications, using and interpreting diagrams and technical publication and proper handling, use and disposal of hazardous waste and materials is mandatory. Must have a minimum of 85% of English level (read, write, comprehension, grammar).

  • Must have not less than (10) years experience in his profession on COUGAR / Super Puma.
  • Must have practical experience within the past three (3) years.
  • Principles of oil analysis wear metal criteria and guidelines.
  • Interpretation of wiring diagrams, blueprints and technical publications are mandatory.
  • Determines repair procedures necessary to correct defective equipment.
  • Have gone through advanced courses in the same trade military or commercial.
  • Must have Quality Control experience.
