AeroConsulting is seeking applications of a well-qualified Cougar Helicopter Mechanic (APG). This critical and full time position will be based at King Khalid Air Base (KKAB), the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF).

  • Advises on technical problems of repair and maintenance on helicopter.
  • Solves maintenance problems, achieves proper operating deficiency of components such as rotor heads, landing gear, rotor blades, transmission including controls and rigging
  • Determines repair procedures necessary to correct defective equipment.
  • Diagnose reoccurring malfunctions and recommend corrective action by initiation or material deficiency reports.
  • Performs repair of components such as rotor heads, rotor blades, gear boxes, drive shafts, engines, and landing gear.
  • Inspect helicopter to determine operational status.
  • Interprets inspection findings and determines adequacy of corrective actions.
  • Inspects completed or in progress work to ensure compliance with local policies and technical publications.
  • Evaluates performance of assigned personnel.
  • Conducts and supervises on-the-job training programs.
  • Train personnel on the use of maintenance manuals and RSAF manuals.
  • Train RSAF personnel on all phases of training.
Start date ASAP/immediately for an expat local contract with no rotation, (only full time job).
5 working days, 8 working hours and 30 days annual vacation + 11 days holiday.

Required skills
A knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical principles that apply to maintenance and repair of helicopters; internal hardware such as interconnects, lines, valves, gauges, controls, pumps, sealing materials, sheet metal parts; properties of rubber application of organic sealing compounds; interpretation of wiring diagrams, blueprints; use of layout drawings; technical publications; concepts and application of RSAFM 4-7166-1 series and supporting publications; and work policies and procedures are mandatory. A 12th grade education with courses in general science or physics is desirable. Must have a minimum of 85% of English level (read, write, comprehension, grammar)

Shall have not less than (10) years experience in this profession on COUGAR or Super Puma.
Must have practical experience within the past three (3) years.
Determines maintenance requirements such as parts, clearances, tolerance, fuel leaks, and corrosion damage.
Interpretations of wiring diagrams, blueprints and technical publication are mandatory.
Determines repair procedures necessary to correct defective equipment.
Have gone through advanced courses in the same trade military or commercial.
